Solo Female Travel Over 50 – Without the Stress, Guesswork, or Hostels

Sue, wearing sunglasses and a sun hat, smiles in front of docked gondolas on a sunny day in Venice, with the city's historic buildings visible across the water.

Who is this mysterious Sue? and What the heck are “sojourns”?

Hi, I’m Sue. I used to backpack and fly red eye economy flights. Now I travel solo with reading glasses, sensible shoes, and a firm no to hostels. I like charming hotels, walkable streets, and trips that don’t require a recovery day.

Sojourns With Sue is for women over 50 who want practical destination guides across the North America and Europe, honest hotel reviews, and real-world advice from a woman who travels solo in her 50s (with comfortable shoes and zero interest in bunk beds).

If you’re curious about traveling solo, but worried about safety, planning, or eating alone, you’re in the right place.
