If you’re looking for a stylish Las Vegas hotel near Allegiant Stadium with a great bathtub, a rooftop bar, and easy access to the Strip without being swallowed by it, the W Las Vegas is worth a close look.
Longtime Vegas fans may remember this hotel as THEhotel or later Delano. It officially became the W Las Vegas in December 2023, bringing a moodier, more contemporary vibe to the Mandalay Bay complex. The W Las Vegas sits at the south end of the Strip, making it quieter than central Strip hotels but especially convenient for stadium events.
I stayed in a Stadium View King Suite, and while there’s a lot to love here, there are also a few surprises you’ll want to know about before you book.

Stadium View King Suite With Allegiant Stadium Views
The Stadium View King Suite does exactly what it promises. Floor to ceiling windows look straight out at Allegiant Stadium, which is especially fun if you’re in town for a game or concert.
The room itself feels modern, spacious, and calm by Vegas standards. There’s room to spread out, a comfortable seating area, and a layout that works well for a solo stay or a couple who likes a little breathing room.
The Soaking Tub Is a Standout Feature
Let’s pause for the bathtub, because it deserves its own mention. As a bath crazed person, I was truly delighted when I saw this tub!
The soaking tub is deep, sleek, and genuinely relaxing. This is not a quick rinse tub. This is a close the door, turn off your phone, and pretend you’re at a spa tub. After sitting through travel delays and walking the Strip, it felt like a well earned luxury!
The Minibar Rules Are Strict. Very Strict.
Here’s where you’ll want to pay attention.
The minibar is touch sensitive, meaning if you pick something up or move it, you may be charged automatically. Even checking labels can be risky.
There’s also a $65 fee if you want to store your own items in the mini fridge! That includes leftovers or drinks you bought elsewhere.
My advice is to treat the minibar as decorative and plan accordingly.

Skyfall Rooftop Bar With Outdoor Balcony and Strip Views
One of my favorite features of the W Las Vegas is the rooftop bar, Skyfall Panoramic Bar & Lounge, which includes an outdoor balcony. Step outside and you get a sweeping view of the Strip, especially beautiful after dark.
It’s a great spot for a pre dinner drink or a nightcap when you want atmosphere without casino chaos. The elevator to get to the rooftop bar is outside the W Lobby, in the hallway leading to the Mandalay Bay casino.
No Casino On Site, But Mandalay Bay Is Connected
The W Las Vegas does not have its own casino, which actually makes the hotel feel calmer and quieter than many Strip properties.
When you want the action, it’s easy. Walk out of the W lobby and go to the right to enter the Mandalay Bay casino through an indoor passageway.
To the left, you’ll enter Mandalay Place, an open air style shopping and dining promenade with restaurants, bars, and boutiques. Very convenient for meals without dealing with Strip traffic.
Is the W Las Vegas Worth It?
If you value a great room, a fantastic bathtub, stadium views, and a slightly calmer Vegas experience, the W Las Vegas is a strong choice. Just go in knowing the minibar rules and you’ll avoid any checkout day surprises.
