I asked fellow travel bloggers to spill on their favorite cool places to stay: from boutique inns to offbeat gems (yes, even a boat!). These aren’t just hotels, they’re the kinds of places that stick with you long after checkout. Ready to wander? Let’s start in the Canadian Rockies and work our way across the globe.
Glacier View Lodge – Icefields Parkway, Canada
“This is the most beautiful drive in Canada, a scenic 235km highway that connects Banff and Jasper National Parks. The drive takes about three hours, but at the halfway point sits the aptly named Glacier View Lodge. It’s the only hotel in Canada overlooking a 10,000-year-old massive glacier! Looking out the window from our room and seeing the snowy jagged mountain peaks that hugged the icy glacier, it felt like we were staying in the middle of a postcard.”

Hartman Castle – Logan Martin Lake, Alabama
“Most people don't know this, but there's a castle you can stay in just outside of Birmingham, Alabama on Logan Martin Lake! Hartman Castle is a sprawling lake-front vacation rental that feels like staying in a Medieval castle – tile imported from Italy, a working drawbridge, and even suits of armor. It’s perfect for large groups, with a party dock, mini golf, pickleball, arcade games, board games, and more. I recommend bringing princess dresses and having a photoshoot during your stay!”

A Danube River Cruise – Europe
“The Danube is my favorite river cruise experience because it flows through so many iconic European cities and charming towns. From Vienna’s grand palaces to Budapest’s glowing Parliament along the riverbanks, each stop offers a mix of history, culture, and easy exploration right from your ship. It’s the perfect blend of convenience and discovery.”

Abu Dhabi Resorts – UAE
“One of my favourite destinations to visit is Abu Dhabi. The city has some of the best beaches in the world. You can enjoy soft white sandy beaches, theme parks, world-class service, and amazing global cuisine without the Dubai crowds. Whether you’re planning a relaxing holiday or an adventure, this city offers the perfect mix of both.”

Grand Hyatt – Kauai, Hawaii
“If you’re heading to Kauai, the Grand Hyatt is a fantastic choice for both relaxation and adventure. It’s the perfect base for exploring the island while still enjoying a true resort experience.”

Monarch Cove Inn – Capitola, California
“Perched on Depot Hill in the beach town of Capitola, Monarch Cove Inn feels like stepping back in time. The main house dates to 1895 and has hosted everyone from Mary Pickford to Al Capone – plus a few million Monarch butterflies who winter on the estate between November and February. With Victorian-style rooms, ocean views, and breakfast delivered to your room each morning, it’s a peaceful cliffside retreat just a short walk from Capitola Beach.”
