Work With Me
I review hotels and small towns for travelers over 50 who want to know what a place is really like before they book.
Who reads Sojourns With Sue
- Travelers in their fifties, sixties and seventies, mostly American women, many traveling solo
- 74% read on a phone
- Most arrive from Google, searching for a particular hotel, town or trip
The numbers
August 2026:
- 26,124 monthly pageviews, an all-time high
- 15,138 monthly readers
- 1,401 keywords ranking in Google
- 589 email subscribers
- Member of the Mediavine advertising network
My hotel reviews rank for the property name, so they reach people who have already chosen the hotel and are deciding whether to book.
What I offer
- Hosted and media-rate stays. Full written review, original photography, permanent placement on a site that ranks for lodging searches, and a live booking link.
- YouTube room tours. Room and property walkaround with chapters, plus short vertical clips. One night of hosting produces content in two search engines.
- Destination coverage. Guides and itineraries with tourism boards, built around a hosted visit. I already rank well for several of the towns I write about.
I often travel with my golden retriever, Ellie May, which makes me useful to dog-friendly properties in a way most reviewers aren’t.
How I work
- I don’t sell coverage. No paid placements, no guaranteed positive reviews.
- I write what happened, including the seagulls.
- Hosted stays and affiliate links are always disclosed. That disclosure is why the recommendation works.
